To connect the adapter to the Xbox 360 console, follow these steps:
1. Connect the adapter cards in both slots in the back of the console, near the Ethernet port and audio-visual (AV) of the port.
2. Disconnect any cable that is connected to the Ethernet port, then connect the USB connector into the USB port next to the adapter.
3. Raise the antenna.
Note
The antenna is designed to turn on a single axle. Do not rotate the antenna in any direction other than parallel to the adapter.
Important
Do not use the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter or its antenna to lift the console. The adapter can break, and the console could fall.
You need the Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter to connect your Xbox 360 to your wireless network. None of the network adapters Generic USB to work with the Xbox 360. There are a couple of other options for connection without re-wiring your house or buy the official Xbox 360 wireless adapter using a alternative hardware.
