iPod Touch: How can I access files through a mapped drive (eg, through Windows Explorer)?

I need to access to the notes on my iPod touch, and understand that I do it simply through the notes directory. But I have a mapped drive when I connect my iPod touch. And there is a conflict drive letter (checked by monitoring the Disk Management tool to verify that this unit is seen by the system).
