One of my tropical fish has blood showing on its gills and fins, what is it, how do I fix it?

I have about 10 minos, 4 algae eaters, a couple of other little 1 1/2 inch fish and 4 angel fish also. I thought a few of these may have been showing signs of blood also but I cant tell as they have red in their color, and if there is blood there it is minimal at this stage.

The tank is a 60 Litre tank,and I know I am a bad owner for doing this but the tank was about 1/3rd evaporated, until I added treated, dechlorinated water this morning.

What can I do… they cost me lots of money! HELP!

PS: I dont have any tools for checking ph or ammonia levels. Ive had them for 6 months or so and they have been fine till now…

Water changes…. lots of water changes

If you have been lax in the water top-ups and changes the nitrate level in the tank will have built up untill it’s affecting the fish.

Take out 1/3 of the water and replace with treated tap water at about the same temperature. Do this for several days and you will get the water quality back to normal. Then do it EVERY week, untill you can get a bigger tank. When you get a bigger tank, keep doing it.
