Automotive Tools – USA Set or metric?

Well, I was looking to buy / invest in a good tool set. I was thinking of complement. But I could not decide if I should get the U.S. Supplement in the set or the set of metrics. I think I heard somewhere that even the Amercian cars are changing the side of the meter. Which set should get and why? I work on all cars … Chevy, Ford, Toyota, Acura, Mitsubishi, etc.. Please, give me your comments.
