I accidentally cut my leather sofa / suite – How I can fix it?

I bought a wallpaper cutting tool (think a pizza cutter, but smaller and much clearer) and tested the sharpness in the box it came in, which cut across and about 1 inch leather suite rested on the table – a very foolish mistake. It is a perfect cut and I'm sure I can stick together. Someone suggested finding the leather trim to the suite and peeping the hole, then hit the court with the "glue of leather."
