Is there anything wrong with being creative?
Hi, I am 16 years old and I am a creative person. And no I am not mentally retarded or anything. I just like to have fun. I am in 3 different bands as a drummer I write songs (tool kind of stuff). My goals are to be a video game designer or a drummer in a professional band. Anyway..
…My older brothers birthday was last week he is turning 20. And I made a card, and on that card it said Happy 20th Birthday with my own computer art designing. And what happened was since I come from a rich family he told me “You cheap bastard, you couldn’t get me anything nice from a store, you fucktard go play drums and write more qeer-o songs. You can never be normal can you? Stop being creative and be normal!” He was pissed. Is there anything wrong with being creative? I feel like shit. Please reply.
There is NOTHING wrong with being creative! In fact it’s really good! Your brother should have understood how important you were for him that you made such thing with your own hands. But well, some people want something which is useful for them, not something that stays in memories till eternity but it has no other use in present time!
You can Buy something for him last time, if you want to make him happy. But you’d better make your card and attach it to the bought gift. He may not understand its value now, but when he gets old, he will understand it with whole his heart!!
But certainly there is nothing wrong with you being creative! Keep up being like this, its a very special thing that not everyone has it. And don’t care what others say, you are being Great!!!
