Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to make an infrared image with photoshop elements 3.0?

All other tutorials use photoshop 5.0 and 6.0 and I was wondering if there is a way to create an infrared image from a color photo using tools in Photoshop elements 3.0, thanks!
