Coversion need a good tool?

I found some old movies on archive.org movies that I downloaded as MPEG4 to save space. Now I'm looking for a small application that will convert my MPEG4 format as MPEG1, 2 or WMA. Im trying to do this so you can put them in a movie maker and keep them all in a film format to DVD. I found some old movies on archive.org movies that I downloaded as MPEG4 to save space. The main problem is that i cannot find a program that allows me to make a movie. Because Windows Movie Maker and such

The only format that can be played in a normal "DVD is compatible with MPEG-2 DVD – you can use DVD Flick to do the conversion and DVD burning. If you many of these films, and the quality is a problem, may be better to get a new DVD player that can play MPEG-4. They are widely available now and very cheap.
