Images for Information most often asked questions about what I call "the big question."
So I wrote this generic response. Hope it is useful to anyone considering a career or behind the camera.
If you ask a 10 or even 100 different people in terms of how they got in this business you will get a maximum of 100 different answers. As for me, I had a natural interest for life in photography, partly because of my guru, whose hobby is black and white photography. Learning and training under him gave me a lot of exposure this type of photo paper has also worked behind the scenes as a carpenter / Light Operator / Set Construction in these works. All tied together but eventually grew my vision and my dreams and I saw for myself the possibility of a career as a cameraman for the television industry film, my physical abilities (which are highly visual) to the point that I was sure I wanted to be a filmmaker.
One somehow, because of my experience working in a television station that allowed me to do the lighting, cameras, games, and construction, etc., I was already far ahead of many of my colleagues so few summers before closing, I worked as Temporary technician in a TV channel and just after graduation, I was offered a position full-time trainee with Binod Pradhan working behind the camera in Mumbai. While doing this work has continued to make films that some to work for a period eight years I covered the time and worked at different levels of filmmaking is like a spark, handle, key grip, charger, focus puller, camera operator, lighting and through constant lobbying and show my work, I was offered a position in a cameraman for a television production.
Thus, after several years of effort and several television commercials long term, industrial, business, documentary or studio executive), the film school is probably the best place to start. Also exposed to a wealth of information on many other aspects including the composition, after all, a camera is just great tool complex, delicate, with many interdependent elements that must be the psychology of human perception to another and so on, endlessly, is the basic grammar cinema as we know it works and on many levels. Work on the juxtaposition of scenes and shots in a scene and the elements of the picture and sound and movement. What direction are the composition, lighting and physical movement takes the viewer s eyes and the effects that the juxtaposition of these elements with such concepts are basic and the visual language of moving images and should be well understood by anyone who wishes to become a cameraman.
As director of photography …
Q: Could you define the work of filmmakers? How lighting or electric service?
A: The Director of the question …
So the conclusion is that there is no way to really become a cinematographer. Ask yourself this question – "What is your life? "What are your hopes and dreams and find a route that best suits your needs. You want to work in the industry, learn professionals and then start shooting?
… Be ready for the big pay cut
Many participants of the camera will operate for a period at least give you much of it. Years pass and suddenly everything I did was make money.
Be prepared for the sharp drop in wages because land that is not $ 2,000 F or M). As practical, working knowledge of several cameras, which means that a better understanding of the color temperature, gels, emissions, rebounds, etc., etc.
Tips for volunteers …
Volunteers in homes for three reasons:
1. just received a letter from FTII was one of the few lucky ones who have been accepted this year the course of filmmaking. When a crew member can not work with you because you have to make money have to respect that.
Key personnel must have experience, no doubt. Anyone can volunteer. I worked in many volunteer Release when I was doing was not just an art. It is also a business.
Executive producers tend not to invest in people without experience, as director or producer. I have seen ads where people claim they can make a function of $ 100,000.00 can do if you are a veteran industry that could offer many people and take the favors of people in the industry. For each of them there are hundreds whose film is not completed for one reason or another. Humbly I ask you not approach the man of money until you have done your job as a producer and everything in place.
Find a pearl script that is the character engine, simple and very few places. Actors – who have won no problem. Find an actor who has done a lot of work but not the list of Bollywood and to give them a party can not refuse. If you can attach the names of their films in order that people have interest, and even give you money.
… Filmmaker at heart!
I am one of the few people who actually worked in three departments. Most people work in a department. But I think that's what made me suddenly. Also heart. My knowledge of theater and cinema helped me a lot of work with managers and understanding that are to come.
Statement ………………
last tip: if you really want to have success as a PDO (or anything else in life) – be tenacious! Never not becoming a director or a director or an actor, the path is often difficult and can be very frustrating. But if we look in the careers of those who were successful in this business, you will see three things they have in common: the tenacity, toughness and tenacity! Course Talent is important, but it's just a lot of hard work and desire to stick to it. Becoming a doctor, lawyer or engineer is easy in comparison because that the road is clear. If you just do the job, you get the title. It is very clear and sharp. Make your way in this case is much more difficult and it 're rolling the dice, but the type of mind can conceive, you can get if you believe.

About the Author
Born in Los Angeles, David Henry Hwang is the son of immigrant Chinese American parents; his father worked as a banker, and his mother was a professor of piano. Educated at Stanford University, from which he earned his B.A. in English in 1979, he became interested in theatre after attending plays at the American Conservatory in San Francisco. His marginal interest in a law career quickly gave way to his involvement in the engaging world of live theatre. By his senior year, he had written and produced his first play, FOB (an acronym for “fresh off the boat”), which marked the beginning of a meteoric rise as a playwright. After a brief stint as a writing teacher at a Menlo Park high school, Hwang attended the Yale University School of Drama from 1980 to 1981. Although he didn’t stay to complete a degree, he studied theatre history before leaving for New York City, where he thought the professional theatre would provide a richer education than the student workshops at Yale.
