What is the best hardware for recording my money for tools?

I'm an aspiring singer or musician. I have several questions regarding with the recording! Pro-Tools is really what is touted to be? I'm not sure what else I need, besides a computer, Protools, microphones, and a sort of mixer or sound card to record through reality. What do you recommend? Fill Me In Please! In addition, Pro Tools is easy to learn or need help?

Pro Tools is a bit overrated. A lot of people got the Pro Tools station, because it is the software used in recording studios. I do not understand, is that studies of dumping $ 100,000 's of dollars in equipment and even thousands in the plug-ins and add-ons for Pro Tools. They are not using version of Pro Tools LE that a lot of people with home studios. The other thing with Pro Tools, which is a great software. Without doubt one of the best, if not the best. But we must know how to use the extension to get their money's worth. People go to school for years learning Pro Tools and recording knowledge. It's not something you can YouTube or read a book to fully understand all its capabilities. So with that being said. Yes Pro Tools is great, but unless you are looking to invest a lot of money into an icon of Digi and all benefits / plug-ins for Pro Tools, it may not be worth money. There are plenty of other software that studies use recording. The top 3 I recommend are Pro Tools, Cubase and Tracktion. Tracktion be the easiest to learn and use for now. I recommend it to any beginner. As for the hardware. You can go several options depending on your budget. So let's start with the lowest then things get more expensive. You will have to go with (Audio) a Inteface or (B) a mixer with Firewire capability. USB and Firewire audio interfaces come with recording software (Pro Tools, Cubase or Tracktion). Interfaces allow audio plug in your instruments and then converts the analog signal to digital signal for your computer.
