High quality and easy to use
I have WES51 station for my first soldering experience, to replace bad / blown capacitors on my Imac G5 older, and it worked very well. (25 capacitors replaced successfully!)
I have acquired over the basis of positive reviews and the price seemed good. Having never welded before, and frankly, had never worked in the bowels of my computer before, the project was daunting, not wanting to spend much money on a tool that can never be reused for a project and I realized that there was little prospect of success. After using successfully, I now think that this is an excellent tool and a great value for the price.
When first opened the box, I thought the unit looked obsolete, which could find below desk of his grandfather. It has an LED to let you know that the unit is on and the heating, and a dial. The machine are solid, however, and has the look and feel of quality.
The iron itself is light and soft foam makes it comfortable to hold in time. In addition, the coating on the handle keeps your fingers cool, I used comfortably for hours. The iron wire is thoughtful season long and made of silicone high quality that is very flexible, these features made the iron very easy to use. I spent hours in my project, holding the iron constantly and never felt I had to let go because of fatigue or because they became too hot to hold.
The iron is heated to a temperature very quickly appointed, it seemed a matter of seconds from a cold start. The support that comes with it is durable and protects the receiver coils and iron (and I from the hot tip!) And is a good angle for constant use. Overall, I am impressed with the quality and ergonomics of this kit. Products used for this that worked equally well are Super Welding wire Welding Super 60% 1.0 mm in diameter – 1 pound of glue and Tech Spray Braid Desoldering wick Desolder Tech Spray, Pro-Wick, # 4, Anti-Static, 5 blue,
The only thing that was a challenge to use this product in my Imac desoldering circuit board. I have heard that using a solder with a high melting point (Lead-free silver solder?) And the iron just barely melted. Everything went well, but I felt a little lingering too long with the iron on the board to unsolder cables. I am sure that this is not a defect with the soldering station, but may be relevant for those who might need a bit more thrust of your iron. He did solder flow very well and super easy, however.
I am very happy with this product and recommend it highly!

Best of the Best!
Weller soldering station is just wonderful. The temperature setting allows me to safely welding a wide range of cable sizes and component. The iron reaches temperature in the short term and keeps quite well.
For perspective, I am a professional electronics, only an amateur electronics intermittent. Over the years, however, I gained considerable experience welding – have built amateur radio gear, repairing radios and televisions, and more recently the construction of a guitar amplifier based on the tube. I should have plunked the money for these stations welding a year ago because eliminates the need for multiple plates and atsoldering I did better because of good ergonomics of this iron.

This is an iron. I a couple of things stolen during the move (why would a steel welder do not know). I had mine for four or five years and has worked flawlessly. I bought this as a replacement and that works as great as the first. If it got stolen too, I replace it with this same station again!
