free tools catalogs

Junk mail. Or, as my teachers in the direct marketing program at New York University called "Unsolicited direct mail (which refused to call the "J" word). Consumers have a love / hate relationship with catalogs, credit card offers, coupons and packages that arrive daily in their mailboxes. "Why am I so? I would like to stop wasting the trees. Oooh, look, I've been looking for a blue blazer as the deck and see that … "

And that's why people love to unsolicited direct mail.

Cara, a catalog or two has drawn attention on the road. During its height, unsolicited mail or through direct mail prospecting was a common way to acquire customers. As I like to say when people want to know "why why companies do that? "- works. With direct mail, all that is accountable and measurable. If that fails, companies should stop doing so. Hence the beauty of direct mail.

Based on frequently asked questions received by direct mail family and friends, here is a brief Q & A on the joys of junk mail.

How Do companies to get names of the forums a mailing list?

Of marketing mailing lists to rent and use these to explore for or find new business. They get email addresses from a variety of places. If you bought something from a catalog of the company, you can rent your name to another. Subscriptions to magazines, charities, organizations, subscriptions to newspapers and others are just a small shows where your name and address appears.

Make a test. Call a company catalog or go to your website. Make sure it is a company that never has done business with before. Now ask to receive their catalogs and buy something small from the first. When you register, you misspelled his name or give the middle initial wrong.

Now watch your mailbox and see what occurs 6 to 8 weeks later with the same error in the address. Now you know that you're shopping lists. It is an interesting test, right?

How do IÂ Cana Stop All Mail Junk?

If you want ALL the spam to stop, visit DMA Choice. Reputable companies use this list of people who "opt-out, or state that does not wish to receive unsolicited mail, and delete or remove your name from the lists. It will not stop all the catalogs and mail. If you've ordered from a company, can still send your material – Legal and legitimate. And, of course, enterprises running management practices from the list of poor quality do not bother with the preference lists.

Direct mail just wastes Trees

Less than you think. Something close to 95% of all unsolicited email are not recycled – and about that much is reused in paper products anyway. Most catalogs are printed on recycled paper with green ink or the environment. The industry is more environmentally conscious than you think. Just do a bad job promoting it.

Catalogs are sent at random

Nobody would invest thousands of dollars in rent, postage, printing and much more to do something random. Direct mailing lists are purchased based on the strict parameters. The best way is to analyze their own database first, develop a customer profile to find out who is most likely to buy, then look at the lists with customers. That is the simple explanation, but that's how his name ends in three catalogs of clothing size – someone analyzes purchasing behavior and saw that you are of size 18W to buy clothes and know you are in that strip of size and seek professional, contemporary clothing.

As for not working, companies work their numbers, analyze data, and rigorously testing new lists often get great results. Customers who buy through direct mail tend to buy more through direct mail. If the list is right for the offer, it works.

Of course, sometimes you just get into the wrong list. That's why I keep giving the catalogs for cigars.

I offer a light, but I never smoke a single day of my life, I intend to start chewing stogies soon.
