How safe is Daemon Tools?

I’m in the process of downloading it right now. I’m at the Terms of Agreements part. I’ve scanned it for viruses and it was clean and I downloaded it from the official site. I just want to know if this is safe. I don’t wanna screw up the family computer(again lol)

Well, I can tell you is pretty safe (by experience anyways). It just emulates a CD/DVD Drive for using/reading cd images like they are real CD’s.

I’ve had it since ages, and nothing bad has happened to my computer that I can relate to using it.
